Jrue Holiday Says Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo ‘Heart’ & ‘Soul’ of the Milwaukee Bucks

Coming into the season, Giannis Antetokounmpo led Milwaukee Bucks were one of the Eastern Conference juggernauts. But many NBA fans were sceptical of the team as they had dominated the regular seasons two times in a row but failed to make strides in the post-season.

This season, the Bucks made a very big risk as they traded starting guard Eric Bledsoe and many future picks for All-Star guard Jrue Holiday. Holiday, who is a defensive specialist, was a logical addition to the team.

But the Bucks weren’t as dominant as the past two seasons. Finishing behind the Nets and the 76ers, the Bucks weren’t the overwhelming favorites to conquer the East. But days before the NBA finals begin, the Milwaukee Bucks find themselves four games away from clinching their first title in more than 45 years.

Jrue Holiday praises Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton

The Bucks trio has truly been at the forefront of Milwaukee’s ongoing deep playoff run. With Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton taking control of the offensive end and Holiday taking control of the defensive end, the Bucks have been an excellent all round team in the playoffs.

After their recent Eastern Conference triumph over the Atlanta Hawks, their new point guard, spoke highly of the duo of ‘Greek Freak‘ and Middleton.

While Giannis and Middleton have been a constant in the lineup, it has truly been a team effort for the Bucks success this season. Middleton who was a streaky scorer in the postseason, has stepped up in the playoffs and has taken over multiple fourth quarters and led his team to victory.

Giannis meanwhile hasn’t been wasteful as he resorted to going to the basket and passing up for better opportunities. Holiday meanwhile has been a revelation as he has kept best guards at bay and also chipped in on the offensive end.

The Bucks have also seen their role players like Brook Lopez and PJ Tucker step up. If they want to win the NBA title, Giannis and Co. have to bring out their best game against a resilient Phoenix Suns side. Will the Bucks win it all this season?
