Taking to her Instagram, she posted a powerful story that talks about celebrating every mother regardless of whether they have a child or not. The post also talked about celebrating mothers who have a strained relationship with their children.

This came just hours after Griner had shared an intriguing Michelle Obama interview where she talks about fear and its importance. The former First Lady of the United States said, “One thing I have to master is quieting the fearful mind. Fear is a powerful emotion. We need it, it keeps us safe, but if we overprivilege it, it keeps us stuck.”

Following her posts about mothers and fear, Cherelle Griner posted a picture with her own mother. It was a picture from her graduation day. Cherelle graduated from Baylor University, the same school Brittney Griner played for.

Brittney Griner’s mother was one of her very first supporters

Raymond Griner, the father of the WNBA superstar, was very critical of his daughter when she was young. BG liked to dress up like boys and this wasn’t taken well by Ray, who was an Army veteran.
