The Golden State Warriors started making trade moves a few hours before the deadline. The team aimed at improving the bench after trading most of them before the start of the season. One such recent addition to the Warriors team has found himself at the center of a controversy involving four different teams. The 6’2″ guard is still expected to reunite with Stephen Curry and the Warriors.

In today’s game between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers, Gary Payton II was found sitting courtside along with Warriors GM Bob Myers and Vice President Mike Dunleavy Jr. A recent video of the incident has created a state of dilemma among fans online.

Son of the former NBA superstar, Gary Payton II is one of the Warriors’ recent addition. It was a four-team trade that involved the Warriors, the Detroit Pistons, the Portland Trail Blazers, and the Atlanta Hawks. The Warriors traded their big man James Wiseman to the Detroit Pistons, while Saddiq Bey moved to the Atlanta Hawks. Meanwhile, Kevin Knox who was initially heading to the Warriors was traded to the Trail Blazers for Gary Payton II.

Fans who were excited about a reunion received shocking news from the Warriors. Gary Payton II apparently failed the physical test due to an injury the Warriors were reportedly unaware of, leading to jeopardy on the entire four-team trade. Surprisingly, the young guard was found courtside in today’s game between the Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers. Questions as to if the team will keep the NBA champion continued with him sitting courtside with the general manager. According to ESPN reporter Adrian Wojnarowski, the Warriors have until 9:30 PM on Sunday to make a decision.

The Warriors are having a roller coaster of a season so far. Winning and losing streaks continue as their main star Stephen Curry is out with another injury in his knee. The team lost to the Lakers today 103-109, with LeBron James also out with an ankle injury. Jordan Poole’s 29 points were not enough for the Warriors to get past the Lakers.
