Despite winning five games in a row, the Los Angeles Lakers are still in the bottom half of the Western Conference. Even though the team is working towards improving their overall season record, jumping only one spot up the ladder with a 19-21 record has not been much of an improvement. The team has been linked with Buddy Hield and Myles Turner of the Indiana Pacers yet nothing substantial has taken place. And now, another potential trade falling out for L.A. has fans going bonkers on social media.
A potential trade involving two-time All-Star Zach LaVine had given the Lakers fans a sliver of hope as the team has been dealing with constant nagging injuries to its stars and key rotational players.

The Chicago Bulls have not been able to live up to their expectations this season. The team has a 19-22 record and could not string together wins of more than three games so far. According to Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic, “Multiple league sources have told The Athletic the expectation is for the Bulls to remain relatively quiet. No one expects the Bulls to ‘blow it up’ and commit to a complete rebuilding process.”
The fans were wondering why the Bulls won’t trade their stars away and start with the rebuilding process given the state they’re in right now. Here are some reactions:

Unpopular opinion but demar is the one that holds us back. Zach, although averaging only 24 points a game, facilitates way better, has improved heavily on the defensive end, and has improved driving to the rim. Demar is straight isolation, and seems to be getting in the way

As Bulls fan i don't like this team. Fake stars, one dimensional offensive main guys and one dimensional role players defense only and washed veterans and not that good young players with blah coach. This team stinks to me.

A huge blow for LeBron James and the Lakers

The decision to not make any moves may or may not harm the Chicago Bulls immediately. But one team that will definitely suffer by this decision is the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers were linked with Zach LaVine to pair him with LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
Given how the Lakers are struggling due to injuries this season, this trade would’ve drastically changed their chances of winning. At 27, LaVine is still relatively young and would give the Lakers a huge boost on offense.

Bringing LaVine over would’ve let James rest his legs a bit and given the team another huge option on the offensive side of the floor during Davis’ absence. But it looks like no trade will take place this season.
