Kanye West recently wrote a Hebrew word upon his comeback to Twitter. His timing couldn’t have been more in sync. On Sunday night, Kyrie Irving was back to play with the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA, following his suspension. Irving had already missed eight games after being suspended for posting a link to a film that contained antisemitic material. Prior to the game, Irving issued another apology, stating that he does not stand for any hate speech or anti-semitism.

West tweeted, “Shalom”.The word ‘shalom’ is synonymous with ‘peace’ and is widely considered to be a polite greeting.

With a $500k donation, six remedial tasks, and a bunch of public statements later, Kyrie Irving suited up for the Brooklyn Nets against the Memphis Grizzlies. “I feel it was necessary for me to stand in this place and take accountability for my actions,” said the Nets star during a media interaction.

Kyrie Irving scored a total of 14 points and 5 rebounds on the night, and the Nets won 127-115. During the weekend, Irving also said that he initially reacted “out of just pure defense” when confronted by members of the media for his actions. According to him, he was hurt that he was labeled as anti-semitic.

Kyrie Irving found himself in the same hot water as Ye

However, upon his return, Irving had to face the music with many Black Hebrew Israelites chanting outside the Barclays Center. Though he was suspended from the franchise, he was not banned from Twitter.

Unlike Kanye West, who had been banned from Twitter because of the inflammatory remarks he made against the Jewish community.

Kanye West’s recent cryptic greeting upon his return to the social media platform comes after his account was reinstated by Twitter. New owner Elon Musk wrote, “Don’t kill what ye hate, save what ye love”. It is a vague message but speculations suggest it is a wordplay for Kanye’s new name – Ye.
