Ben Simmons? case shocked the NBA world. Probably one of the longest injuries a player has sustained. Moreover, it is hard to see the enthusiasm or the dedication or the fire in Ben Simmons? attitude. Many NBA analysts, former players, and media have already slammed Simmons for his approach. This time Stephen A. Smith had had enough.

A couple of weeks back when the Boston Celtics were on the verge of sweeping the Nets off, it was confirmed that Ben Simmons won?t even make a minute?s appearance on the court in game 4 after a year of absence. Smith didn’t mince his words while talking about Simmons and ripped into him.

?Notice I said Kyrie Irving is one of the most selfish superstars we?ve ever seen, and one of the most selfish athletes we?ve ever seen,? Smith said before game four. ?I didn?t say the word the, as in number one, because obviously he?s got nothing on Ben Simmons. Nobody is worse than Ben Simmons.?

Now, former NBA player, Gilbert Arenas, has also chimed in the Simmons situation. He compared the Brooklyn Nets stars to the popular rapper Kanye West in a recent interview.

Gilbert Arenas recently joined DJVlad for a podcast and talked about the gun incident, his career in the NBA, the gun incident, the abrupt end because of it, and his life. The former NBA player also discussed Simmons‘ situation. They started the topic with how Stephen A. Smith bashed Simmons for his behavior and approach.

“You’re 25 years old, of course, you want to play. But you got to remember, Philly held $20 million. So they’re saying you’re not hurt, you’re not mentally messed up, 20 million, we’re going to hold it. Now how do you prove? ? If they’re holding 20 million because I didn’t play in those games, how do I get that money back?”

“Well, if I come on the court as soon as I got to Brooklyn then I wasn’t hurt. They keep that money. So now I can’t play because [of] that original $20 million that they’re holding. So now I have to continue the ruse.”
