Moreover, the most recent performance from Karl Anthony Towns was the icing on the cake.

Karl Anthony Towns had a monster outing against the San Antonio Spurs. He dropped 60 points with 17 rebounds while shooting 61.3% from the field. He scored 7/11 three-pointers with 3 assists. Karl became the first player since Shaquille O’Neal to have such a performance.

Karl Anthony Towns felt blessed after the interaction with Kobe Bryant
Long before Karl featured in the league, he had the chance to play against the greats of the NBA. He was a part of the Dominican Republic team following his freshman year. He played an exhibition game against the US national team consisting of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Kevin Durant.

However, Karl’s elation reached its peak when he had the chance to play against Kobe Bryant. Not only did he get the opportunity to share the court with Kobe, but he also got words of wisdom from the Mamba.
“The biggest thing I took away from that game was a confidence level that I could play with these players, that I can play with the best of the best,” Towns said. “Kobe talked to me. … He told me to make sure I keep working hard, and he talked about some other things. We had a good conversation.”
The possibly three words for Kobe, “Keep working hard,” had a big impact on the youngster. The fact that Kobe recognized him enough after the game to have a conversation with him was the highlight for the young center. Three simple, elegant words that were no secret were impactful for Karl because of the person who said them.

Before joining Minnesota Timberwolves as a 20-year-old back in 2015, Karl was a New York Knicks fan. He has been a Knicks fan since his childhood. The Timberwolves drafted KAT as the 1st overall pick and he has not disappointed. KAT has performed with utmost consistency in the 6 years of his NBA career. Since his first year, he has been one of the first names on the lineup. Playing as a center, Karl has averaged less than 20 points for a season only once in 6 years and that was in his first season. KAT is a big part of their campaign this season as well.
