This off-season, there will be a lot for the Los Angeles Lakers to figure out as this season’s performance was below expectations and a lot of work needs to be done. One thing that LeBron James’ team is actively looking for is Frank Vogel’s replacement for the head coach’s position.

They are interviewing candidates for this job before creating a final list of candidates. In this case, it looks as if the Lakers’ one has been found according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. There are currently no official announcements from the franchise about Kenny Atkinson becoming the next head coach, but reports suggest that this is the case.

Atkinson works as an assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors as of right now. Atkinson was not the only candidate the Lakers interviewed. Adrian Griffin, Darvin Ham, Mark Jackson, and Terry Stotts were also interviewed. In addition, Atkinson also served as the head coach of the Brooklyn Nets. However, that didn’t go well for him.
