The rivalry between Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets is going out of control. The 12-time All-Star put the organization in a chokehold after requesting a trade. However, while most players have succeeded in finding their way out, KD met his match. The Nets aren’t compromising on a fair exchange for their star player. And as the situation comes to a pause, Durant may take a shocking call.

Kevin Durant is one of the most skilled offensive players of all time. The former MVP won back-to-back championships with the Golden State Warriors. However, in hopes of making his own legacy, Durant made his way to Brooklyn. But the story hasn’t gone as planned.

Kevin Durant planning his retirement?

The Nets have made attempts to repair their relationship with Durant. Joseph Tsai met up with his franchise star. However, it ended up with the 2-time finals MVP giving an ultimatum to Brooklyn. As for the Nets, they hold an advantage in the situation. Before his request, KD signed a 4-year extension with his current team. Hence, the organization could drag it out without making any moves.

However, Durant isn’t interested in stepping foot as a member of the Nets. The reports suggest the 12-time All-Star is ready to retire. Likewise, NBA fans had their opinion about the situation.

It is unfortunate that the saga has reached this far. If Durant does decide to retire, his career ranks among the all-time greats. The Skim Reaper is one of the greatest scorers of the basketball. Among active players, Durant ranks third with over 25k points. Along with his surreal offensive bag, he is a 2 time NBA champion and Finals MVP.

Having the killer instinct, Durant has never been afraid to shine in the big moments. The 10-time All-NBA forward will go down as one of the best players of all time. It would be a shame, however, to see him retire at the height of his talent.
