The Brooklyn Nets won a hard-fought battle against the Orlando Magic in their last matchup. The game ended 109-102 behind Kevin Durant’s amazing performance. What caught the NBA world off guard was Durant’s post-game interview which seemed a little too generic, even to Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.

The Nets put all their eggs in the Kevin Durant basket as he blasted off for a 45-point performance to take down the Orlando Magic. And if it wasn’t for KD, the Nets probably would’ve lost the game.

The Orlando Magic were clicking on all cylinders as three out of their five starters crossed the 20-point threshold. Gary Harris missed that mark by 1 point, scoring 19 points for the game. But it was all Kevin Durant for this one.

One fan tweeted, “Straight out of 2K.” And another fan commented, “THIS IS WHY KEVIN DURANT IS THE BEST PLAYER OF ALL TIME.”

Here are some more reactions from Twitter.

Many fans speculated that he was trying to impersonate Milwaukee Bucks guard Jevon Carter’s interview after his 36-point performance against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Regardless, it was a great game for the Slim Reaper. Apart from the 45 points, he had 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals for the game. Kyrie Irving had his usual 20-point performance.

But Nicholas Claxton got to contribute some on the offensive end, notching a double-double. He had 17 points and 13 rebounds for the game, along with 3 blocks.

The Nets are in dire need of another scorer

Apart from Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, there hasn’t been anyone on the Nets’ roster who can score consistently. Sure, some player or the other can go off for a given night but the Nets desperately need a consistent scorer.
