And he did, as Ben Simmons has been playing great over the last few games. He has consistently scored in double digits and is shooting a very high percentage. The latest example of his improved confidence is when he gave Kevin Durant some advice.

Durant was talking recently about how Simmons asked him to shoot. He said, ” He threw the backdoor, I see somebody shifting over… and I kicked it to Joe in the corner, he missed the shot. I look up and he [Simmons] was like, ‘Dunk the f*****g ball’, I was like, ‘All right, my bad I was open.'”

Furthermore, Simmons is also well-known among NBA fans for his incident of choosing to pass instead of dunk during his Philadelphia 76ers days, a costly mistake in which the Atlanta Hawks subsequently beat the 76ers in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semi-finals in 2021.
