A decade ago LeBron James expressed his reaction on Twitter after Blake Griffin’s monster jam on Kendrick Perkins. Blake Griffin made one of the best highlight plays of the decade. LeBron highlighted on his dunk as well. James had dunked over Lucas while jumping insanely high.

LeBron’s reaction to Griffin’s poster did not sit well with Perkins. Kendrick went at LeBron saying all sorts of stuff about being a great player. Though LeBron did not sit back. He had a few words for Perkins which would eventually settle the discussion.

LeBron James’ beef with Kendrick Perkins

The beef all started with LeBron’s tweet. James was hyped after watching Blake throw a poster on Perkins. Perkins mentioned how Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan do not react to such stuff. And that elite-level players are not excited after one such play.

But LeBron was just trying to enjoy basketball and express his excitement. And for this, he did not feel any need to apologize to Perkins. Well, at the time, LeBron was hated all around the league as he had signed with the Miami Heat, leaving Cleveland. This beef was a decade ago. Perkins now has a different view of LeBron James.

Perkins praises LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo

Though LeBron’s Lakers have been listed out of Play-In, his game was praised by Perkins. Kendrick said, “You know, I think we’re starting to get bored with Giannis like we did LeBron James. And we’re taking them for granted.”

There is some truth to this as both guys have been putting up MVP numbers. Their numbers seem like they still have to prove a lot to people. It can be in the case of Giannis, who fans would love to see win more championships. But Lebron’s performances are elite, considering his age and how close he is to retirement.

This just shows how he had changed his perception of LeBron. In 2012, James didn’t even have a ring to his name and was 28 years old. Fast forward to 10 years, and the King now has 4 rings and 8 Finals appearances.
