The question was whether the Nets could win game 2 if Kevin Durant bounces back. To which Shannon said that he doesn?t believe Durant?s bounce-back would mean an automatic win for the Nets. Because there are a lot of other factors involved in the game.

The NFL legend said that Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are the only good players in the Nets. Shannon also said that the Boston Celtics are a better team overall, and even if Kevin Durant has a great game, the Nets might not win.

Skip disagreed with Shannon and said that the Nets have other good players like Seth Curry and Andre Drummond who could score efficiently when given their shot. He said that the Brooklyn Nets lost Game 1 because they missed a lot of easy shots in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter.

During the show, Shannon pointed out the Celtics? coach Ime Udoka?s time as an assistant coach for Brooklyn Nets. He said Udoka must have closely watched Kevin Durant?s trouble in the playoffs last year when guarded by P. J. Tucker.

Even though Kevin Durant struggled with Tucker?s defense, he had a monstrous series. He averaged 35.4 points per game and 10.6 rebounds per game but the Nets lost the series.

The Boston Celtics have one of the best defenses in the NBA. Moreover, Marcus Smart has just won the Defensive Player Of the Year. He was the first guard to win the DPOY award ever since it was won by Gary Payton. So it will be interesting to see how the Brooklyn Nets approach game 2.
