When one talks about the best players in the league, Kevin Durant simply cannot be ignored. He has been in the mix of the best players like LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and others for some time now and he is in no mood to slow down.
While some might argue his best time came in the Oklahoma City Thunder, his stint in the Golden State Warriors super team will forever go down in the history. He won 2 consecutive NBA titles with a team that comprised superstars like Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.

Moreover, he gave his thoughts regarding teams that are revolved around one superstar. According to KD, players have someone to lean on in those teams. Furthermore, he talks about how a player thinks about going for the NBA title when an elite player is around him.
Kevin Durant talks about teams revolving around elite stars
Creating super teams in the NBA is the new trend. Whether it is the Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors or the Los Angeles Lakers, all these teams revolve around elite players.

Kevin Durant is someone who knows all about super teams. He has played for the Golden State Warriors, which comprised superstars like Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, among others.
Talking in an interview, KD said, “I feel like when you have a player that’s reached elite status in this game where he could just control the game, that’s when you should go for it. When you got the top-five player in the league, it’s like, all right, I know I have something to lean on in the games. Like, let’s build around this.”
“He added, “I mean, if you see potential in that, then you don’t want to waste all your assets early. You want to put, you know, on trying to compete for a championship when your best player is still developing. Once you get to that elite status, that’s what you should go for.“
Interestingly enough, his current team, the Brooklyn Nets, revolves around stars like Kyrie Irving and KD himself. The team is considered one of the best teams in the league and is currently in contention for the NBA title.

Durant averages 29.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 6.2 assists this season. On the other hand, Irving averages 27.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 5.7 assists.
