Kevin Durant Drops Massive Praise on Rap Sensation Gunna for His New Album: “Usually No Skips”

Kevin Durant, the 2x All-Star captain, appeared on the podcast, ‘The ETCs w/ Kevin Durant and Eddie Gonzales. The 2013-14 MVP had some nice words for rapper Gunna’s new album, ‘DRIP SEASON 4EVER’. Particularly, when asked about the track-list, KD stated, “Gunna’s albums are usually no skips, you can play this all the way through.”

Further, Durant opened up about his relationship with music. During the podcast, they discussed the importance of being in the correct zone to listening to music. He observed that whenever a new album is released, people play it non-stop during the first week. He said, “I felt like that way for the last six albums I’ve been waiting for to come out”. Consequently, he said that makes him not like good music sometimes.

Continuing, he stated how that sometimes makes him question himself, “Yo am I not liking music anymore?” However, he said one just needs to “Put it to the side for a second and come back to it”,  in order to appreciate the music at such times.

While Eddie Gonzales stated his favourites from the album is ‘alotta cake’, KD declared even though he doesn’t like choosing favourites, ‘south to west’ is his pick right now. Additionally, both of them said they like ‘flooded’ a lot.

Kevin Durant again emphasised that there are “no skips”. Moreover, he gave a shoutout to Kodak Black for his feature on Gunna’s ‘how you did that’. Both of them shared a laugh at how Chris Brown totally changed the song on his feature in the album. Then, KD went on to say, “[Chris Brown] never misses on anything man”.

Evidently, Kevin Durant likes to keep himself up to date with the latest trends in hip-hop culture. He even spoke about the emoji ‘P’ which has gotten famous due to Gunna’s album. Even Kim Kardashian posted a caption with the emoji recently. However, when asked if he would join the trend, KD said, “It just got too big for me”. He thinks it was “cool” when it was just the Gunna fans who used to use it but now everyone does and it is too mainstream.

Last year in February KD tweeted a reply to female rapper ‘Kash Doll’, snubbing her for taking his iconic KD nickname.

Earlier today, Durant was named the All-Star captain again for the game on 20th February. He will go against captain LeBron James in the draft on the 10th. However, KD himself will again not play in the game owing to his MCL injury.
