“Definitely want Kyrie to be around,” the forward told the media, “I wish none of this stuff would happen, but this is the situation that we are in. Kyrie made his decision on what he wanted to do and he chose to do what he wanted to do, and the team did the same.”

Kyrie Irving is the perfect fit for the Nets right now, according to Kevin Durant.

In the practice match of the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday, Kyrie joined the players. He had followed all the health and safety procedures.

For Kyrie, it’s more than just an opportunity. As he stated: “Not going to lie. It’s been relatively tough to watch from the sideline. … But if I get the opportunity to get on the court and play with some of my teammates, even if it’s just on the road for away games, I’m grateful for that opportunity.”

Durant discussed the situation on the podcast and stated that this is the perfect time for teams to add more players because of more and more players entering the health and safety protocols.

About Irving’s return, he said: “We wish this would have happened way earlier.” He continued that adding Kyrie to the team at this moment is a great idea, and the team could definitely use Kyrie’s help and presence right now.

It is not known when Kyrie will make his debut for the Nets, but it is said that it might happen in the match against the Indiana Pacers, or in their next competition against the Chicago Bulls. Seeing the two players back on the court performing side by side will be interesting, as many have been waiting to see them play.
