But you have to understand that KD was going through a lot in the year 2015. Kevin Durant had a phenomenal 2013-14 season. He averaged 32 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game. Durant was the scoring champion and won the MVP award. Moreover, he also led his OKC Thunder team to the Western Conference Finals with San Antonio Spurs. But lost out to the eventual champions.

After a great season, he only played 27 games in the next season due to foot injuries. Before the start of the season, KD underwent surgery on his right foot, which made him miss the first 17 games of the season. But the injury flared up and cost him to miss most of the season.?
But Kevin came back strong and healthy in the next season. In the 2015-16 season, he averaged 28.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game in 72 games.?

In the playoffs, Durant and the Thunder got their revenge against the Spurs. They beat the Spurs in the Western Conference semifinals 4-2 to advance to the Conference finals. In the Western Conference finals, the OKC Thunder met Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors.
And Kevin Durant and the Thunder started great and took a 3-1 lead. But they collapsed massively as the Warriors won the next 3 games to win the series. And the Thunder?s dream of winning the NBA title didn?t come true once again. The Warriors, however, lost the NBA Finals to the Cavs.?

Then Kevin Durant shocked the world in the next season by joining rivals Golden State Warriors in search of an NBA title. And he would do just that with the Warriors by winning back-to-back titles in 2017 and 2018.
