The NBA community has been buzzing with rumors of Kevin Durant leaving the Brooklyn Nets for some time now. New reports have not dismissed the possibility of that happening and have hinted at teams preparing for a potential trade of a lifetime. He said, “Teams are already operating under, not the assumption, but ?we need to prepare for the contingency that Kevin Durant is available via trade in six days or seven days.? ? The whole league is now.”?

The 2021-22 season has been nothing short of a disaster for Kevin Durant. The Brooklyn Nets have turned from legitimate title contenders into a ruin of a broken ‘superteam’. A large portion of the blame for the Nets’ downfall can be ascribed to Kyrie Irving.

As a result, the media hasn’t been kind towards Kevin Durant for the past few days. If Kyrie Irving leaves Brooklyn, it is very unlikely that KD would choose to languish in a derelict franchise. At 33, he can’t afford the patience to wait for the Nets front office to put pieces around him.
