The Western Conference Finals results are out and it is the Golden State Warriors who have made their way to the next stage. Beating Mavericks in a 4-1 series, fans have already started hailing the dub nation.

The Warriors haven’t had much trouble dispatching their opponents up until now in the playoffs. They beat the Nuggets in 5, Grizzlies in 6, and then Mavs in 5 as well. This run by the team has made the fans wonder if it was the Warriors that needed KD or the other way around.

What is happening?

Along with praising the current team, fans also started taking digs at Kevin Durant, the former teammate. To explain to you what exactly is going on, Durant was credited the most for the Warriors’ 2017 and 2018 NBA Championship rings. The fans of rival teammates even expressed their belief that if it wasn’t for KD, the Warriors would never have won that ring.

Cut to 2022, the Warriors are again back in the finals, and this time without Durant. The fans have started hailing Andrew Wiggins to prove a point that the 2017 and 2018 rings weren’t just because of KD.

Another reason to troll KD is that the Nets got swept out by Boston in the first round of playoffs itself. Durant failed to win a single playoff match despite having Kyrie by his side, so as per fans he is not as great as people claim him to be.?

Many fans also reminded rival teams’ supporters that the warriors were 73-9 before KD joined them and it should have been Curry who should have been hailed for their win.

Many fans also stated that the Warriors did not win the title because of Kevin Durant, rather Durant has those rings because of the Warriors. Durant was in Oklahoma before joining them and it was the Warriors who knocked them out in the game. So maybe there is a little truth to what these fans believe.
