Kevin Durant has been the subject of much discussion during this offseason. He has reportedly given a trade request to his team, the Brooklyn Nets, but no team has been finalized yet. The player himself has got into shenanigans on social media. He has beefed with fans, experts, and ex-players. One of those ex-players was Shaquille O’Neal.

The big man got some strays from Durant after the former defended his co-host and friend Charles Barkley. It hasn’t left him destroyed, though. Shaq is not a person to give up so easily. He talked about this beef on a recent episode of “The Big Podcast” with Entertainment Tonight co-host Nischelle Turner and former NFL player Anthony “Spice” Adams.

Turner first started talking about this beef on the podcast. She reminded Shaq that he had expressed jealousy over Rudy Gobert’s contract on the last episode of the podcast. Durant, of course, replied to that statement n Twitter.

He wrote, “Shaquille is hilarious. You’re a billionaire bro lol.” Shaq then responded with, “I know I’m hillarious, and i’m not a billionaire i’m actually broke. But will always speak facts. thank you saying i’m funny means a lot.”

Shaq then corrected Nischelle, saying that he doesn’t do “beefs”, he does mixtapes. Spice Adams, then, talked to Kevin Durant directly. He said, “Shaq will give you the beard dye that he uses, and then you can put it like all of em’ spots up there.”

Adams was confident that Kevin Durant will come on the show with his “Anthony Hamilton” beard. Shaq warned them that Durant may just have beef with his co-hosts because of what they said.

Shaquille O’Neal’s beef with Kevin Durant stretches back to 2017

This was not the first time Shaquille O’ Neal and Kevin Durant had some disagreement. Back in 2017, Shaq criticized him for not winning any NBA titles. He said, “You’re on the outside in line with [Charles] Barkley, [Karl] Malone, and [John] Stockton. You’re not in the club with me and those [championship] guys.

This prompted Durant to respond. On Bill Simmons’ podcast, he expressed his displeasure with Shaq’s words. He said that Shaq feels validated in life because he won an NBA Title. Durant proceeded to win the title subsequently with the Golden State Warriors.
