As soon as the Brooklyn Nets’ season was over, several trade rumors started doing the rounds. While there are still uncertainties about Kyrie, and Durant’s future in the Nets, Kyrie cleared the air. Kyrie said that he doesn’t have a plan to play anywhere else. And said that he and KD will work closely with the front office to build a strong team.

But this new rumor is about a role player from the Nets’ roster. It is about Blake Griffin signing with the Clippers. Once a superstar, now Blake is nowhere near his Clippers’ days. And he himself has fueled the trade rumors by liking a post on Twitter.

A fan tweeted and asked Blake Griffin to come back to the LA Clippers to play with Kawhi and Paul George. And Blake Griffin has liked the tweet. This has excited a lot of Clippers fans who would welcome Griffin with open arms. Blake played 8 seasons for the Clippers from 2010 to 2018.

During his time with the Clippers, Griffin formed a unique partnership with Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan. The number of alley-oops they made every game was insane. So much so that they were nicknamed ‘The Lob City’.
They were having fun on the court, and the Clippers’ fans enjoyed every minute of the show. Even most non Clipper fans loved watching those lobs.

He was the face of the Clippers’ organization and was a franchise player. The Los Angeles Clippers selected Blake as the #1 draft pick in 2009. His start to life in the NBA was impressive and exceeded expectations. In his first season, Griffin averaged 22.5 points and 12.1 rebounds per game.

And he deservedly won the Rookie of the Year award. The high flyer also won the NBA slam dunk contest. Additionally, he made the All-Star team 5 times during his Clippers’ tenure.
Is Blake Griffin returning to the Clippers?
But things didn’t end well between Blake Griffin and the Clippers. In 2018 the Clippers shockingly traded him to the Detroit Pistons even after signing a 5-year contract extension.

In an interview, Blake Griffin revealed that he would have liked the Clippers to have informed his agent about the trade. This sour ending might make things trickier for Blake and the Clippers.
