As one of basketball’s most important players, Kobe Bryant and his legacy lives on in the NBA. The former NBA superstar helped the Los Angeles Lakers dominate the NBA for most of his career. NBA players, fans, analysts, and others still remain in awe of Kobe’s Lakers’ feats. One such former NBA player recently acknowledged Kobe’s carry-job for the Lakers.
NBA great Kevin Garnett revealed how the Boston Celtics stopped Kobe and Pau Gasol from establishing a dynasty at the Lakers. Garnett recalled these details while speaking in episode 1 of Gasol’s Amazon Prime documentary, ‘Pau Gasol: It’s About The Journey’. He suggested that the Lakers could have won more championships if not for the Celtics.

Garnett said, “That combination of Gasol and Kobe, and him and Bynum coming together, that whole synergy, I actually thought they should have won more championships. But there was a Celtics team out there somewhere. “ Andrew Bynum was another key player at the Lakers.

Garnett and the Celtics maintained an intense rivalry with the Lakers who were led by Kobe and Gasol. The Lakers lost the 2008 NBA Finals to the Celtics. They met the Celtics once again in the 2010 NBA Finals however, the Lakers succeeded in defeating their rivals in the rematch.
Kobe joined the Lakers after getting drafted by Charlotte Hornets in 1996.

Kobe Bryant and his incredible drive to win at all costs
NBA fans still persist in admiring Kobe Bryant and his 20-year playing career in the NBA. Bryant retired in 2016 after a long run that witnessed him win five NBA titles with the Los Angeles Lakers. Kobe, however, remained hungry for a sixth NBA title in order to match Michael Jordan’s career tally.

His desire to win often helped him to power the Lakers over the finish line in most games. In-Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals, Kobe scored 10 points in the fourth quarter to lessen the third quarter gap of 13 points against the Boston Celtics. The 2010 Finals, however, lingers as his last NBA title triumph.
