The Cleveland Cavaliers have taken a major jump compared to last season. They are currently on pace to be the first non-LeBron James team to make the playoffs. And one of their most important figures is Kevin Love. He has found love for this team once again because of the bond they share. However, things were not always like this, and Love wishes he could have done things differently.

Recently, while talking to JJ Reddick, Love reflected on his past and admitted there are things he would have done differently, but he is happy they happened.

Love is an icon for the Cleveland franchise. When it came to their peak, he helped this team reach the finals on four occasions. Moreover, he brought a championship to the city with LeBron James in 2016. Hence, he is a big part of this team. However, after James, the Cavaliers became a lottery team and Love had his moments of frustration.

While in conversation with Reddick, Love admitted he is in a really happy place with the current Cavaliers squad. However, things were not this way for the last couple of seasons. Love said, “There are things I would have done differently. I think a lot of times either my emotions got the best of me, I said things without just digesting snd reflecting on what had just happened. Just moments of maturation and growth. Yeah, I may regret those things, but I am thankful that they happened because I think I’m a better communicator, leader, fiance like you know all that stuff across the board.”

Before this season, Love was adamant about leaving the Cavaliers. He had several moments of frustration through the seasons. Moreover, things almost became messy when he refused a buyout with $60 million remaining on the contract. But now he is embracing his role and this team and they are doing well.

Before, Love went from competing with LeBron James to a veteran on a rebuilding team who wanted to help out with a winning organization. Chiefly, he is happy with his current role and is looking to be an extension of the coaching while being a valuable player off the bench. It is great to see how Love has found his spark for Cleveland again, and the team is soaring along with it as well.
