Charles Barkley is best remembered for his time in the league where he won multiple accolades. However, Chuck is also known worldwide for his media career and the numerous podcasts he partakes in. Out of all the podcasts in the sporting world, The Steam Room podcast hosted by Ernie Johnson and Barkley is regarded as one of the best. On the recent episode of the podcast, Barkley got emotional for two reasons.
The first reason was that it was the last episode of season four. Additionally, Barkley also got emotional for Timothy Kieley, who is one of the show’s producers, as he is retiring.

On the last episode of the podcast, which was shot in Miami, Barkley got emotional. He said, “Bittersweet so because he is retiring. I mean, last steam room, I hate calling him a legend, but he is a living legend.”
The Phoenix Suns legend, who was very close to leaving the NBA media industry, then talked in length about the impact Kieley has had on him. Not only was he the long-time producer of the show, but he also gave Chuck valuable pieces of advice more often than not. In fact, whenever the 1993 MVP got in trouble, Kieley was one of the first people he turned to.

He said, “And last but definitely not the least, Timothy Kieley. You know, the long time producer, this is his last show and last game tomorrow. People don’t know how close me and TK are. But man, he has been great for me. We’ve had a lot of fun, a lot of vodka. Its been a great honor man, he’s been a great sounding board. I’ve been calling the principal office a few times over the years about things I said. You know how when somebody kicks your ass as a parent and they put your arm around you.”
Kieley later joined Ernie Johnson and Charles Barkley on the podcast. Interestingly, the NBA Hall of Famer mentioned that he will be meeting Kieley more often now that he has retired. It seems Chipotle will be the place where they will be meeting. However, guacamole is a strict no for Barkley.
