Veteran point guard Chris Paul has not been having the time of his life lately. The future Hall of Famer completed yet another season ringless when his side fell against Denver in the Semi-Finals. Besides, the Phoenix Suns, as one of its key changes, are reportedly on the lookout to waive the 38-year-old, making him a free agent this offseason. While uncertainties loom over the 12x-NBA All-Star, he recently shed light on a bitter experience his daughter had at school.

As an NBA player, Chris Paul perhaps is habitual to criticism, trash-talk and scrutinizing. Unfortunately, just because his daughter comes from an NBA icon’s household, she is ridiculed. Fans, however, have mocked CP3 even after hearing about his daughter’s struggles.

Chris Paul surely is one of the most talented players of this generation. Nonetheless, the star has always been facing flak for failing to find the final piece to the puzzle. Injuries and bad luck have kept the veteran from winning a championship. Despite the Suns boasting a star-studded roster, they couldn’t even come close to the silver this time. As it turns out, Paul’s family too is ridiculed for him not winning a ring in his otherwise illustrious career.

In a recent appearance on The Pivot podcast, CP3 has explained how his recent playoff upset has taken a toll on his family. As Paul puts it, his wife has had sleepless nights because of the scrutiny that Paul and his family go through for him not winning a title. Sadly, CP’s daughter too is not spared from the mocking.

“She had a little boy at school that said some reckless stuff to her was like, ‘Your daddy ain’t never gon’ win no championship,'” said Chris Paul, revealing his daughter’s struggles.
