NBA fans generally admire former Miami Heat star and legend Dwyane Wade for his likable personality. Heat fans will remain grateful to Dwyane Wade as he won them two NBA championship titles in 2012 and 2013. Alongside LeBron James and Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade completed a formidable trio for the Miami-based franchise. Contemporaries often compared Wade to Kobe Bryant during the duo’s much-reported rivalry.

Recently, Dwyane Wade and Kobe Bryant’s families spent time with each other during a fashion show. Kobe Bryant’s wife, Vanessa Bryant, posted a few pictures on her Instagram account of the outing. On the first slide, Dwyane Wade and his daughter Zaya Wade are smiling for a selfie with Vanessa and her daughter, Natalia Bryant.

The second slide shows Natalia Bryant and Gabrielle Union-Wade posing for a picture. Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna Bryant tragically passed away in a helicopter crash in January 2020.

Vanessa Bryant captioned the post saying, “The Bryant’s & The Wades“. Dwyane Wade commented on the post, saying, “I loved that Zaya and Natalia finally met!!” Natalia Bryant replied to Dwyane Wade’s comment saying, “@dwyanewade same here!! @zayawade is so sweet“.

Kobe Bryant and Dwyane Wade’s friendly rivalry and competitiveness

Dwyane Wade and Kobe Bryant had a well-documented rivalry on the court. However, their relationship off the court was quite cordial. The Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat legends often had fierce battles for their respective franchises against each other. The duo shares eight NBA championships and three NBA Finals MVP awards among them.

Despite, Wade’s own legendary career, he once admitted that Kobe was the best player and claimed him a better player than LeBron James. Wade in an interview said, “I do feel — and I’ve said this before the last couple of years with LeBron, when he became the best player in our game — that Kobe Bryant is the greatest player of our era.” Wade and Kobe were teammates on the legendary 2008 U.S. Olympic gold medal winning team.
