Before tonight’s game, the Lakers were the team with the worst record in the NBA. Each and every team had registered a win and the Lakers were yet to open their account. With LeBron on the bench, Russell Westbrook was a driving force in the second quarter. He seems to have adapted to his new role as this was his second game in a row coming off the bench. He was careful in his shot selection and was setting up his teammates for easy buckets. And the Lakers took the lead at the end of the first half.

The second half started off slow for the Lakers as the Nuggets started making their three-point shots. Just when the Nuggets looked to put the game to bed, the Lakers went on a massive run fueled by Lonnie Walker. And the Lakers held their nerve as they closed out the game to earn their first win of the season.
