Kwame Brown Bashes Gilbert Arenas for Bringing Up Michael Jordan Era Wizards: “You Scored 60 Points on Kobe Bryant. Why You Keep Taking About a Bust?”

Gilbert Arenas was a three-time all-star for the Washington Wizards and he is one of the most prolific scorers of all time. He was nicknamed ‘Agent Zero’ based on his jersey number and his clutch ability in late-game situations. In his prime, Arenas averaged over 25PPG over three seasons, which earned him his all-star selections.
Recently, he came on Mr. Skinny TV to address his ongoing feud with Kwame Brown. Brown pulled up and confronted Arenas about his comments about him. He said, “You’re no chill Gil, you’re the baddest mother f*cker in the lane. You scored 60 points on Kobe. Why you keep talking about a bust?”

Brown was referring to Arenas’ comments about him on the All The Smoke podcast hosted by Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes. To Arenas’ credit, he did not actually criticize Brown, but rather said that it was the trauma that stopped him from reaching his full potential. He praised Brown for his physical prowess and his game. But he said Michael Jordan killed his confidence and Brown just couldn’t recover after that. However, Brown did not like Arenas’ comments and has gone on several rants before addressing Arenas directly.

This is not the first time the former teammates have had a feud. Back in 2006, Brown had rejected a 5-year contract from the Wizards as he wanted to test free agency. When he was leaving, he clashed with multiple players, including Gilbert Arenas and the coach as well.

Later, after Arenas’ comments on the All The Smoke Podcast, Brown called out Arenas again. He said that Arenas took millions from him during his contract negotiations in an hour-long rant. Arenas later called him a bum and a bust and asked him to stop blaming others for his lack of success. He asked him to stop holding others responsible for his failures and start owning up to his mistakes.

This feud does not look like it’s going to end anytime soon as other entities like Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes may also be involved. Hopefully, these two can settle their difference and be able to see eye to eye again.
