The Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics have won one match each in the NBA finals. Their eyes are all set on the next match, which will be played on Boston’s home ground. Amid all this, the NBA’s official Twitter handle announced that Draymond Green has entered the list of top 10 players for total assists in the NBA finals. While Draymond tried to flex a little on this achievement, it did not go well with Wizzards’ star Kyle Kuzma.

Green tried to play it cool with a tweet saying “Not half bad for a guy who can’t pass”. But Kyle Kuzma had to remind him that it was due to Curry. He added a few laughing emojis in between, trying to implicate that he was just joking about it.

Rather than giving a snarky reply, Green just thanked him. He replied to Kuzma’s tweet with a few laughing emojis and said “appreciate it brother.” There isn’t any big beef between the two and thus it was played down by Draymond Green.

Draymond Green in the NBA Finals

While this is the first NBA finals appearance for all the current Celtics players, the Warriors trio is in their seventh NBA finals appearance. Prior to this, Curry, Klay, and Green appeared in the 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18, and 2018-19 finals series. Green overtook Larry Bird in the list of total assists for the NBA Finals series.

While Curry has been a crucial part of the team, it would be wrong to discredit the Green of his achievement. He has played an important role as a playmaker. As per stats posted on the statmuse website, he averaged 9.3 assists per game during their 2018-19 series.

Green would surely have remained unaffected by Kyle’s dig at him. For now, he and the Warriors’ team would be focused on the next game.
