Kyrie Irving and LeBron James were a treat to watch during their time together. In a piece of news that will make all NBA fans happy, the duo might be together sooner or later. With Kyrie’s future with the Nets in a disarray, it seems he has chosen this team for his future.

It is none other than the Los Angeles Lakers. After a disappointing 2021-22 season, the Lakers are looking to rebuild and one of the biggest names linked to them is Kyrie. Moreover, it seems no other big teams are interested in Irving.

Despite opting with the player option for the final year of his contract, Kyrie Irving joining the Lakers is a real possibility. Although both parties want the deal to go through, it will not be as easy as it seems.

According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, “Kyrie Irving absolutely wants to be a Los Angeles Laker. This we know. The Lakers want Kyrie Irving. This we know. But making that happen, that’s a different story.

He further added, “We don’t really get a good feeling there’s any team seriously on the market for Kyrie right now beyond the Lakers. It doesn’t mean they don’t like him or value him, they just don’t want to pay a potential price the Nets are asking.

If whatever the reports say is true, LeBron might have the services of Kyrie very soon. Considering last season’s disappointment, LeBron would need trusted players to turn the situation around, and who better than Kyrie Irving?

How good were LeBron James and Kyrie Irving together?

LeBron James vowed to bring a championship to the Cleveland Cavaliers, his home team. However, he could not have achieved that alone. After the Cavs drafted Kyrie as the Number 1 pick during the 2011 draft, the future looked bright.

James and Irving formed an incredible duo on the court after James made his return to the Cavs. Moreover, the two were instrumental in the famous 3-1 comeback against the Golden State Warriors in 2016.

Playing with Kyrie, LeBron averaged 25.5 points, 7.8 assists, and 7.4 rebounds in 183 games. On the other hand, Kyrie averaged 22.1 points, 5.3 assists, and 3.1 rebounds with LeBron.
