Kyrie Irving’s Discredited Ex-Nets Coach Uses Shaquille O’Neal to Shut Down Kanye West

The Kanye West anti-semitic saga has taken many twists and turns so far. The popular rapper was condemned worldwide for his controversial comments against the Jewish community. He lost a great deal of business after many renowned brands parted ways with him including Adidas. Moreover, West’s net worth shockingly dropped to $500 million from $1.5 billion as a result of his alleged anti-semitic comments. Many stars and celebrities have condemned Kanye West for his comments. Recently, Amar’e Stoudemire, former Brooklyn Nets assistant coach, used Shaquille O’Neal to shut Kanye West down.
Amar’e Stoudemire is an American-Israeli basketball coach and former NBA star. The six-time All-Star acted as a player development assistant for two seasons with Kyrie Irving‘s Brooklyn Nets.

Stoudemire was one of first Steve Nash’s first recruits when he became the Nets’ head coach in 2020. However, the former NBA star decided to part ways with the Nets this year citing religious reasons.

The media discredited Stoudemire after his surprising exit. He gave a fitting response to the misinformed sources in May. Meanwhile, Stoudemire has opened up about the Kanye West saga. The 39-year-old recently quoted Shaquille O’Neal in an attempt to shut down Kanye West. Amar’e Stoudemire wrote on Instagram, “Never argue with people you influenced or inspired. The war they’re fighting with is ego.”

It seemed like Stoudemire’s Instagram story was a message to Kanye West, in order to get the popular rapper to back down. West has continued to build upon his take with some offensive statements and interviews. He has refused to retract his comments or issue an apology to the Jewish community.

Amar’e Stoudemire’s exit from the Brooklyn Nets came as a shock to many. The media discredited the former Nets Assistant by claiming that Stoudemire quit the team and criticized Kyrie Irving on his way out.

As a result, the former NBA star had to provide a clarification about the whole scenario. He condemned the articles making false claims about his exit. Stoudemire stated that he had discussed the move with the former Nets coach Steve Nash before going public. The former Nets assistant coach suggested that the reason he left was that he did not work on Shabbat. He follows Jewish religious practices and does not work on Friday and Saturday nights.

The time he missed restricted his growth in the coaching space. Thus, Stoudemire reckoned that his decision to leave was mutual due to his unavailability full-time. He also claimed to be quite similar to Kyrie Irving and deemed the claim about criticizing the Nets guard to be completely untrue in May.
