LeBron James openly called out the media last week during the post-game conference on November 30. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar asked the reporters why he was not asked any questions about the controversial photo of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones from 1957. At the same time, James also pointed out that the media was too eager to know his opinion on the Kyrie Irving saga only weeks ago. Recently, Michael Jordan’s former partner in crime John Salley, reiterating James’ words, ripped the Jerry Jones ‘spin doctors’ while defending Kyrie Irving.
John Salley was a part of the Bulls team that won the NBA championship in 1996. He recently made an appearance on VLAD TV. The show’s host informed the four-time NBA champ about what LeBron James had said about Jerry Jones and Kyrie Irving.

Salley was asked about his feelings on the whole Jerry Jones situation. Michael Jordan‘s former Bulls teammate was certain that the situation was being handled well because there was not a lot of chatter about the resurfaced photo in the media.
John Salley reckoned that the Jerry Jones ‘spin doctors’ were putting out the small fires everywhere to avoid a situation similar to the mass criticism that came against Kyrie Irving. Salley then proceeded to question whether the outrage against Irving was warranted or not.

The former Detroit Pistons forward defended Irving by claiming that he posted the link to the movie without expressing any controversial views. He further suggested that the media went after him just for posting the link. Salley claimed that he understood the sentiment when Irving urged the people not to dehumanize him.
Moreover, the NBA veteran believed that Irving tried to protect himself from the attacks. He reckoned that the Nets star admitted to finding out about his history and realizing his Hebrew faith from the movie.
