After receiving plenty of backlash for losing their first two exhibition games, Team USA made their big comeback against Argentina with a 108-80 victory. Finally, fans can breathe a sigh of relief because they finally say the USA men’s basketball team that has won three gold medals consecutively in the Olympic Games. Yet, somehow the focus moved from their win to Lakers fans pitching Damian Lillard from the stands to join the franchise.

Lakers fans desperately want Damian Lillard
Team USA suffered back-to-back losses against Nigeria and Australia earlier this week. But their fiery start stretched to an incredible third quarter that helped seal a win in their third exhibition game against Argentina. The star players were Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal with 17 points, while Zach Lavine and Damian Lillard put up 13 points each.

However, while some are deeming this a big achievement because Argentina was the one who prevented the USA from a gold medal in 2004. Some believe that this isn’t the same Argentina team it was before. With Fabricio Oberto, Manu Ginobili, and Andres Nocioni retired, they only have one big player left, Luis Scola. In fact, Nigeria too defeated Argentina in their first exhibition game.
With so much going on, fans were able to take out another narrative. There have been rumors about the Blazers trading Lillard to the Lakers. Although there has been no confirmation, fans would be ecstatic if that happens. In fact, they made it very clear during the USA’s game against Argentina.

What ignited these rumors?
The Portland Trail Blazers had another early exit from the playoffs this season. Not only were fans disappointed, but Dame was visibly upset. He posted a cryptic message that had everyone question his future with that franchise.

If Lillard hits the market, there will be plenty of suitors waiting in line to nab him. Unless the Lakers have an offer they can’t refuse, Blazers will have plenty to pick from in exchange for their superstar.
