In an interesting turn of events, Kyrie Irving could be ousted from his team, the Brooklyn Nets. Irving has been under constant backlash ever since he endorsed a controversial film. Many things transpired and it ended up with the player getting suspended. According to the Nets’ stipulations, Irving would have to follow a list of remedial steps.

This was to ensure he took accountability and responsibility. According to the latest reports, there was a “feeling” that the remedial measures put forth by the Nets could have an agenda after all. It is possible that the list was deliberately designed. Perhaps, the Nets wanted a potential outright release for their most controversial player, Kyrie Irving.

The Brooklyn Nets had made it abundantly clear that should the player fail to tick all the boxes, his return to the team was questionable. Reports state that Kyrie Irving would be unable to complete the 6 items. This will in turn put him in a compromising spot.

Fans are horrified and wait with bated breath for more news regarding this. They expressed their opinions on social media. Some of them believe that the Los Angeles Lakers would eventually get Irving for free.

What entails the suspension of Kyrie Irving?

The Nets initially suspended Irving for less than 5 games without pay. They listed out the six deliverables that Irving was asked to actively participate. He had to explicitly apologize and condemn the movie with Anti-Semitic ideas that he posted a link for. He had to donate $500k to anti-hate causes.

Irving has to go for both, sensitivity training and Anti-Semitic training. The last two requirements for the Nets player were to meet Anti-Defamation League, and Jewish leaders, and to meet Joe Tsai, the Nets owner.
