After winning two straight games, the Los Angeles Lakers have lost three in a row now. The LakeShow does not seem to be in sync so far this season. With a 2-9 record so far, the Lakers are currently second-last in the Western Conference. However, the latest news update has fans a little riled up.
According to reports, the Buss family could sell part of the Lakers at some point. The late Dr. Jerry Buss overtook the franchise back in 1979. The team had a successful run under his reign, winning a total of 10 NBA championships.

Fans rip the Buss family for their decisions over the years
However, after his death in 2013, his daughter Jeanie Buss became the CEO and controlling owner of the franchise. Apart from their championship win in the 2019-20 season, the Lakers have been struggling for the most part in recent years.
Clearly, this news did not sit well with fans as they decided to rip the Los Angeles Lakers with ruthless comments on social media. One fan tweeted, “They need to sell it completely. None of them deserve this level of power over such a storied franchise. They’ve destroyed every bit of cache that her Dr. Buss (rest his soul) had built. The Lakers are the laughingstock of the NBA.”

Why Jeanie needs to sell team
LAKERS WILL BE THE LAST PLACE ANY FA LOOKS AT
THE LAST TEAM ANY FA WANTS TO PLAY FOR
Even with all the cap space in the world
With the worst FO/ownership in sports
Especially with the great but aging LBJ no longer able to draw big name FAs

Windhorst said, “I think it’s possible the Buss family could sell part of the Lakers at some point. You know they own two-thirds of the Lakers. I could see them selling part of the Lakers someday. … Let’s say [the Suns] sell for $3.5 (billion). What do you think the Lakers would be worth in that environment? I mean, $5 to $6 (billion).”
What could a potential sale of the franchise mean for LeBron James, who is now in the twilight of his career? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
