It’s safe to say Charles Barkley is not happy with LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. He’s been on their case all season long and rightfully so. He has mocked them, humiliated them, and criticized them for their lethargic performances. The Lakers haven’t helped their cause either, as they have struggled all season long.

Barkley reached a new level on Thursday. The Lakers took on the Los Angeles Clippers and hoped to avoid getting swept in the season series. They started the game off well, with a lot of energy and a high pace. But in the second quarter, they let in a lot of open threes and the Clippers built a 17 point lead. Then the Lakers stormed back and went on a 14-0 run to cut the lead to 3. But this did not impress Barkley at the Halftime show.

Chuck was so done with the Lakers that he refused to even name them. He called them the team from Southern California. Chuck says that he will say their name again if they win a playoff game. He says, “I’m not talking about these damn losers. Between the nitwits at TNT and the nitwits at EPSN, we talk about these losers more than any team in the world. And we show them all the time.”

To Chuck’s credit, the Lakers did prove him right as they got humiliated by the Clippers. Even though they cut the lead to 3 at the half, they let the Clippers go on a 24-0 run, which essentially sealed the game. They didn’t score for 6 minutes in the third quarter. And the Clippers were rolling and making everything.

Reggie Jackson continued his impressive showing against the Lakers as he ended with 36 points. LeBron James led the scoring for the Lakers with 26 points. This marked the fourth straight loss after the all-star break. The Lakers will need to start winning soon, otherwise, they will be out of the play-in spots soon. Maybe then, Chuck will stop mocking them.
