NBA superstar LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers won the NBA title in 2020. Talen Horton-Tucker, 19 at the time, was a part of the team. It was his first-ever NBA ring. However, Horton-Tucker was traded to the Utah Jazz during the 2022 off-season. In return, the Lakers received Patrick Beverley. The former Laker has now come back to haunt them.

Earlier today, against his former team, he threw down a monstrous poster dunk that shook the whole arena. Following this performance, NBA Twitter trolled the Lakers and created chaos.

A final score of 116-139 meant that the Lakers had inscribed their eighth loss of the season. With LeBron James missing because of left foot soreness, the Lakers had no answer to Utah’s all-around performance. But Talen Horton-Tucker’s 15 points in 20 minutes performance really hurt fans.

In the 3rd quarter, Talen Horton-Tucker launched up in the air and punched the ball down the basket. Tucker buffed up his chest and looked at the Jazz bench. The arena erupted in a deafening cheer. NBA Twitter did not miss the opportunity to troll the Lakers and showed no mercy.

Fans joked that for a player to be successful, he must join the lakers and simply get traded. Many fans also suggested that the Laker’s 2022-23 season is officially over as they believe that there is no way out of this crisis. Here are some reactions:

Another ex-Laker playing for the Utah Jazz was Jordan Clarkson. Much like Horton-Tucker, Clarkson contributed to Utah’s dominance with 22 points and 4 assists. The Jazz ended their night with 7 players registering points in the double digits.

Lakers’ Anthony Davis bagged 29 points and Russell Westbrook registered 22 points. The Lakers were left looking for answers despite a good offensive showing.
