That’s why the impact of Smith’s fall from grace is like an asteroid slamming into the Black community. It’s not fair to him to bear that burden, but it’s a fact nevertheless.

This is not the first time Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has given his thoughts on Will Smith. The 6 time NBA champion wrote a similar piece on Smith a few months ago after the infamous Oscars incident.
