Davis looked a little rusty, which can be expected when you miss a long stretch of games. However, his defensive prowess hasn’t seemed to have left him as he notched up 4 blocks. The Lakers won the game 106-96 courtesy of LeBron James, who ended the night with 33 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists.
For the Nets, James Harden led the way with 33 points and he ended the game with a triple-double. This win puts the Lakers back at the.500 record while the Nets fall to their 17th defeat of the season.

The Lakers have been struggling all season long. The acquisition of Russell Westbrook has not gone according to plan as he has struggled to adapt. With AD being out on the sidelines, the load fell on a 37-year-old LeBron James, who has been playing exceptional basketball just to keep the Lakers relevant. He will be relieved to have Davis back, as he provides the Lakers a secondary scoring option and a tough defensive presence.
Even though he is having a disappointing season, Davis is a top player in the league on his day. His size, athleticism, touch, handling, and footwork make him impossible to guard in the post. His huge wingspan allows him to keep up with faster guards and he is one of the best shot-blockers in the league. The Lakers and LeBron will want to see more of this AD, as we approach the All-Star break.
