The NBA MVP award is arguably the most prestigious NBA award for players. That award makes you a certified Hall of Famer and one of the greats in NBA history. But sometimes it is also one of the most controversial awards. Especially in the case of Steve Nash, Shaquille O’Neal, and Kobe Bryant. A former NBA champion who has more rings than ‘Hir Airness’, Michael Jordan, has dropped his views on the same.
Steve Nash is a Hall of Famer and was one of the best point guards in league history. He was a revelation and was one of the best passers in league history. Moreover, he played at the same time as Kobe and Shaq. And both of them were regarded as the best in the league. Many believe that Nash was favored more for MVP awards than these two. Then they talked about how Kobe has only one MVP award. Horry says, “Speaking of Kobe winning only one MVP, which is ridiculous. If you think about it, Shaq won one, Kobe won one, Steve Nash won two… I can understand when people like, Jokic winning back to back. He legitimately had a better season this last season than the previous season.”
“In Steve Nash’s case, he had the exact same damn season. In that case, Jordan should have been the MVP every time he was in the damn league. He had to do something extraordinary to win MVP.”

Horry was definitely not happy with the fact that Kobe and Shaq had only one MVP award. One of his co-hosts also suggested that Nash should get his awards to Kobe and Shaq. Nash was a great player, but his MVP awards have been highly controversial. And the fact that Kobe and Shaq had only one also doesn’t help his case.
