A big season awaits Kyle Kuzma, who will be playing a much bigger role for the Washington Wizards than he did with the Los Angeles Lakers. This is something he wanted as soon as the offseason began this year and since the Wizards don’t have as many superstars in their roster, it will give Kuzma room to be one. Although his parting with the Lakers team wasn’t particularly pleasant after all the criticism he had to face because of their disappointing exit, his relationship with former teammates, especially LeBron James, has not gone bad.

Kyle Kuzma has made it clear that despite all that has happened, there is nothing but love between him and the organization. LeBron James as well has always spoken highly of his former teammate. Letting bygones be bygones, Kuzma is thrilled about his new role with his new team.

Even though the season hasn’t even started yet, Kuzma just posted a picture of him walking his dogs in DC. With the caption, “Took the kids sight seeing.” While it just looked like Kuzma’s last few moments of relaxation before the preseason commences, Bron had something to say about the post as well.

LeBron commented on the post, saying, “DC so fire. Love that city. Dope place.” This shows that despite all speculation, Bron and Kuzma are definitely on good terms.

The Washington Wizards aren’t one of the elite teams in the NBA right now, despite Kuzma’s addition. But it will be interesting to see him play a leadership role alongside Bradley Beal. So far, he has played under the shadows of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, but this trade means he will have more opportunities to shine.

Over the years, Kuzma’s role in the purple and gold’s roster kept on decreasing. However, what we do know is that the power forward position is one he excels in. If Davis hadn’t hijacked that position, Kuzma’s reputation might have been very different. He is also very good for floor spacing and his versatility will enable his new team to play either big or small.

Some players perform better without the limelight. Being a part of a franchise as elite as the Lakers meant living up to the expectations bestowed upon him, which came with a lot of pressure. With that off his shoulders, he might be able to play better and take the Wizards to the next level.
