Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal was a force not to be trifled with. Shaq had immense strength to play and finish through the contact. His game was dominant and there wasn’t anyone in the league that could stop him while he backed down in the paint with the ball in his hands. The only downside to Shaq’s game was his shooting.
O’Neal used brute force as his main weapon of choice. And never really cracked the code on his shooting. He ended his career with only 52.7% free throw percentage. Shaq has been criticized and trolled for his shooting throughout his career.

Teams intentionally fouling Shaquille O’Neal
In fact, teams had come up with a ‘hack a Shaq’ technique for the player to shoot free throws. Something that he struggled with for the entirety of his career. Even in the movie ‘Grown Ups 2,’ Salma Hayek takes a shot at O’Neal’s free throw shooting, saying, ‘as easy as making a free throw.’
So it literally left fans in shambles when O’Neal posted a video of him making three shots in a row at a festival. O’Neal can be seen shooting severed head props through a metallic hoop in the game titled, ‘dead head.’

LeBron used the crowd silencer celebration quite a lot of times, especially during his time with the Miami Heat. So it was fair to see O’Neal silencing his longtime doubters about his shooting. He captioned the video, ‘keep talking about my free throws.’

The only downside of O’Neal
As dominant as ‘The Big Aristotle’ was, shooting was something that wasn’t a part of his game. And teams often took advantage of his poor shooting. Opposing teams would often intentionally foul O’Neal during the final minutes in a close game. They relied on his inability to shoot to get the edge over Shaq and his team.
