LeBron James has continued to set the standard for longevity, as he’ll enter the 20th season of his illustrious career. While many would have hung their jerseys by now, ‘The King’ is still working his magic and is very much at the pinnacle of his abilities.

James continues to add to his NBA legacy along with expanding his iconic sneaker legacy. And quick glance at his latest signature shoe is certain to take one’s breath away. Nike LeBron 20 just recently dropped, and the sneaker focuses on the next generation of basketball players. Interestingly, the next generation of hoopers includes James’ sons, Bronny and Bryce, who, according to James, were involved in the creation of the sneaker.

While reflecting on entering his 20th Training Camp, James discussed the influence Bronny, Bryce, and the younger generation had on his new signature shoe. “This shoe was made for the next generation,” the 4-time NBA champion said. “And now with Bryce and Bronny in mind, understanding the basketball player of today, and the people of today,” he added.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar then claimed that his boys were present at some of the meetings and offered input.

“So, I listen to the athlete and I got two of them in my household, so that was pretty easy. I listened to what they wanted and they actually sat in some of the meetings with me and we all listened to them and made it happen,” James concluded.

LeBron James, at the age of 37, shows no signs of slowing down. However, that day isn’t far away when he will enter the twilight of his career and bid farewell to the game, clearing the way for a new generation of athletes. That’s what Nike and LeBron James had in mind when they built ‘The King’s’ new signature shoe.

Interestingly, the LeBron 20 sports a distinctive tag inside the tongue that clearly indicates that it is designed for the next generation. It reads, “Designed and engineered to the exact specifications of the next-gen”.

Furthermore, the gorgeous shoe’s slogan reads, “From the King to the next generation”. This implies that the introduction of this sneaker symbolizes James handing the torch to the next generation.

LeBron James hopes that his boys, Bryce and Bronny, will be the next generation’s superstars. They undoubtedly have enormous shoes to fill, but their father has offered them every opportunity to forge their own route to greatness.
