LeBron James-led?Los Angeles Lakers are struggling in the current season with a record of 15-21. After not making the playoffs last season, there were huge expectations from the fans for the LA side this year. Darvin Ham taking the reins as the head coach gave a new ray of hope to Laker Nation. However, the fans have been disappointed with the team’s performance so far this season. On other hand, James has been brilliant individually even at the age of 38, putting up MVP-caliber numbers. This has caused many fans to urge the front office to provide him with some much-needed support. And it seems like they just might oblige.

Lakers star Anthony Davis received huge backlash for his injury record before the start of the season. However, he had a good start to the season and had some massive performances. Unfortunately, he was then sidelined due to a foot injury. This has put more responsibility on the shoulders of the four-time NBA champion.

Recently, there were rumors suggesting LeBron James is not happy with the lack of help he has in the team and is frustrated with the front office. Also, rumors have circulated recently about a potential big-name signing for the Lakers in the upcoming summer to appease James. As per recent reports, NBA superstar James Harden could join the Lakers in the upcoming summer to help out James in his quest to win another chip.

The rumor suggests that Harden could opt out of the final year of his contract with the Philadelphia 76ers and become a free agent next summer. The report added that in such a situation, the Lakers would be one of the favorites to land the 2018 MVP. Harden has a reported net worth of around $165 million.

The Purple & Gold already has two MVPs on the roster in the form of James and Russell Westbrook. So Harden would be the third MVP on the team if he were to join. On the other hand, his addition also means that there will be one more aging star on the team with injury woes.

At 33, The Beard is not as old as James. But he is nowhere near his past MVP self. Even though he has been playing great for the 76ers, this might not be the right fit for both parties.

James Harden on rumors

Recently, there was another rumor about James Harden returning to the Houston Rockets. When asked about it, Harden replied, “I don’t know where it came from, but I’m excited to be here, we’re playing well & we’re continuing to get better.”
