LaMelo Ball could have the first start to an All-Star game owing to Kevin Durant’s injury, which will see him miss the All-Star game for consecutive seasons.
LaMelo Ball to start?
The fans were in for a treat as they anticipated the much-awaited LeBron James vs Kevin Durant battle. Injury played spoilsport as Durant is likely to sit out of the All-Star Game for a second season running. He has been named captain for the East in these 2 years.
LeBron James takes the captaincy for the West with a solid lineup consisting of stars like Stephen Curry and Ja Morant.

In a recent clip that has gone viral on the internet, we can see LaMelo Ball being announced as an All-Star. Fans have speculated Ball to be an All-Star for the East. And their speculations might have just come true. He averages 19.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 7.6 assists for the Charlotte Hornets this season.
The respective reserves for the teams will be announced later, and it looks LaMelo Ball is the chosen one for the East. Ball joins the likes of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Joel Embiid in the Eastern frontcourt. DeMar DeRozan takes a deserved spot alongside Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks.
The West is looking stronger than ever. LeBron James takes frontcourt alongside Nikola Jokic and Andrew Wiggins. On guard duties are Stephen Curry and Ja Morant.
