LeBron James and Stephen Curry are two of the most prominent faces in the NBA today. Players jump at the opportunity to play with these two legends. But still, a few decide to take their chances elsewhere due to various circumstances, and a former teammate of Curry has left James and the Los Angeles Lakers to join their state rivals, the Sacramento Kings.

Kent Bazemore had signed for the Los Angeles Lakers last season on a one-year deal. The Lakers had high expectations last season, but they failed to live up to them. Their season was a disaster, and they failed to even make the playoffs. Bazemore himself had a poor season, and after initially starting for them, he was later dropped to the bench. As the season went on, he had multiple DNPs.

According to Shams Charania, Bazemore has left the Los Angeles Lakers and decided to join the Sacramento Kings on a one-year deal. He had previously played for them in the 2019-20 season. He averaged 10.3 points and 4.9 rebounds on 38.4% shooting from three.

Bazemore had provided a spark off the bench in 23.1 MPG. And he is an able passer as well. The Kings will hope he can replicate some of that form, but he is unlikely to get the same kind of playing time.

And he has already played with a majority of the core and can reconnect with his teammates quickly as well. His experience will come in handy as the Kings look to break their streak of not making the playoffs.
