The Minnesota Timberwolves are set to gain a solid player from the Los Angeles Lakers roster. The Lakers have been wanting to rein in their roster spots more effectively, and with several trade talks looming for the Lakers, the NBA world witnessed another move earlier this week. Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that the Minnesota Timberwolves will be signing Matt Ryan onto their team. The news has left fans on social media in ruins. One user wrote, “League is finished!”. Fans knew that Ryan has delivered in high-pressure situations before. Other people knew that Ryan would thrive alongside Towns and Gobert.

Notably, Ryan acknowledged his exit with “nothing but gratitude”. He tweeted that it was a special moment for him to play in the league and for this particular franchise. He thanked the team and looked forward to the next chapter.
