After signing the likes of Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony, the LA Lakers tipped to win the NBA championship. However, the season didn’t turn out as they hoped. Lakers had a dismal showing in the regular season, partly due to injuries and rest because of just poor performances. The only real positive for the team was LeBron James.

‘King James’ performed at an MVP level throughout the regular season and averaged 30.3 PPG. But the team couldn’t capitalize and now fans are speculating about his future.

This season was a failure for the Lakers organization as a whole. They were one of the pre-season favorites to win the west and move to the finals but their season never really took off. The team could never really find a rhythm.
