Apart from his on-point demeanor on the court, LeBron James is known to be a pretty fun-loving guy when he’s off the court. There have been plenty of videos of LeBron James joking and fooling around with his teammates on the bench, in the locker room, or just while hanging out. James seems to know how to have some fun and blow off some steam when required.
‘The King’ has been a part of the Los Angeles Lakers organization for quite a while now. He has had some good teammates over the years who he has been close with. Players like Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love during his playing days with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Then he is known to be awfully close to Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh when he was playing for the Miami Heat.

LeBron James is best buddies with Anthony Davis
Now the latest player to join the group of LeBron James’ close friends is Los Angeles Lakers forward Anthony Davis. Davis has been with the Lakers organization for the past three years. James and Davis even won a championship together in the 2020 NBA season.
You can see that the two have a certain connection when playing together. Both the players complement each other’s game and produced a huge chunk of the Los Angeles Lakers offense. Davis was the number one pick in the 2012 NBA draft. After playing seven seasons with the New Orleans Pelicans, he was traded to the Lakers to pair up with James.

Fans are hoping to see a healthy Anthony Davis
In an interview during the Lakers training camp, LeBron James was asked about Davis’ mindset coming into the season. ‘The Brow’ has been dealing with injuries over the past few seasons. Davis only played 36 games in the 2020-2021 season and 40 games last season while battling injuries.

When asked about Davis, James said, “I’m happy to be his teammate and extremely proud to be his best friend. I’m his best friend, I don’t care what he says,” James added. He also mentioned how he is honored to be teammates with such a great player and an even better person.

In the 40 games AD played for the Lakers last season, he averaged 23.2 PPG, 9.9 RPG, and 2.3 BPG. However, the absence of Davis was reflected in the Lakers’ overall record of 33-49.
The purple and gold franchise ended up missing out on the playoffs last season as they finished the season with the 11th seed in the Western Conference. But with a healthy Anthony Davis and a motivated LeBron James, fans will be hoping to see a much improved Lakers side next season.
