LeBron James and Soccer Star Kylian Mbappe Tease Fans with their Latest Social Media Gimmick

The NBA is filled with exciting athletes showcasing their talents on the biggest stage. One of the most important aspects in the modern game is a sneaker that the player chooses to wear and there are several options now when compared to the 70s or the 80s. Right now, LeBron James is the King of the sneaker game! 

Nike is clearly the most dominant brand when it comes to NBA kicks. They have other competitors in the market, but the Swoosh brand boasts a collaboration with two of the most decorated athletes in the world in Michael Jordan and Lakers’ LeBron James. 

The latter is still going strong in the NBA and is also the player with the most signature shoe designs in the NBA (18). Moreover, Nike released ‘LeBron 18s’ last year, but there is more twist to that.

Cross-sport collaborations are quite a common occurrence and when two athletes represent the same apparel brand, things get even more exciting. Likewise, soccer star Kylian Mbappe was rumored to be incorporating his design ideas into the LeBron 18s! 

Mbappe, 22, plays for top-flight French club Paris Saint-Germain and is one of Nike’s most valued ambassadors. The soccer sensation was rumored to be collaborating with LeBron James to form a spectacular colorway in his 18s, and it might be true!

The reason being that LBJ and Kylian Mbappe have a large share of online following and they recently had some fun with their Instagram handles! Both athletes swapped their respective profile pictures which sent fans into a frenzy! 

Though the LeBron 18s are out on the market, the LBJ-Mbappe version is yet to be released and fans can’t wait to get their hands on it.

A look into a design of the Kylian Mbappe colorway

There are a lot of rumors running around about the expected colorway. However, there are some verified sources that provide solid information on what’s about to drop, and ‘Highsnobiety’ is one of them. 

The model is expected to come out in a greyscale upper, complimented by blue, purple, and red accents all around. Two detailed swoosh logos at the toe of the sneaker elevates the design, while Mbappe has placed his touch by adding his initials at the tongue. Here’s the concept design:
